SUBJECT APPLICATION COURSES

The focus is on developing your subject knowledge of your curriculum in schools and on developing the skills to teach it effectively. The session begins with a subject audit that encourages you to review your existing subject knowledge and how it matches school curricula. From this you can then identify, with support, how to develop your knowledge and understanding.

• how to manage effective classrooms
• how to communicate your subject knowledge

We offer thirteen subject courses that are aimed to examine the particular nature of learning in each subject area, including subject specific language and concepts.  Each course is designed to encourage the continued enthusiasm for the subject and to apply a growing understanding of the relationship between learning and pedagogy to classroom management.
